Tap-to-pay wand · 3D printed in the USA

Tap to pay.
Look like a plant.

PotWand holds your contactless credit or debit card inside a cannabis leaf. Hold the handle, tap the leaf on any reader, and you're paid. No app, no battery, no wallet.

Fits any standard card Works on every contactless terminal One head, five handles
PotWand: a green 3D-printed cannabis leaf on a smooth tapered handle

How it works

Slide it in.
Wave it around.
Money goes away.

The wand is just a holder. Your bank card does the paying. The leaf is printed thin over the card's antenna so the tap reads exactly like the card would on its own.

Step 1

Slide your card into the leaf

The slot enters from the stem and runs up inside the leaf. Push a standard contactless card in until it seats. From the front, the card is hidden. Only a sliver shows at the base.

Step 2

Click on a handle

The head has a rectangular tab. Every handle has the same socket. Push them together and it's a wand. Swap handles whenever you want a different grip or color.

Step 3

Tap the leaf on the reader

Lay the leaf flat on the contactless pad, the same way you'd tap the card. Drive-thru, bar, grocery, dispensary. Anywhere that takes tap-to-pay takes PotWand.

a real card.

AssemblyTwo parts. Tab on the head, socket in the handle. Press fit, no glue, no threads.
MaterialSilk PLA+. High sheen, visible layer lines. Extra walls at the stem joint.
ElectronicsNone. The wand is passive. Your card does the talking.

What's in the box

  • One PotWand leaf head in your finish
  • One handle in the shape you picked
  • A card that says how to seat the card
  • No credit card. Bring your own.

Dimensions are the production targets. Final numbers are confirmed against the first Slant 3D sample before the batch ships.

Manufacturing

Printed on a farm in the USA. Not a desk printer in a garage. Every wand comes off Slant 3D's production line in two parts, each printed the way it prints best.

Leaf

Printed flat so the card slot stays clean and the face over the antenna stays thin. No support material inside the pocket, ever.

Handle

Printed standing so the grip is strong along its length and the stem joint doesn't snap. Silk looks best and breaks easiest, so the collar gets extra walls.

QC

A real card goes in and out of every batch sample. One wand per batch gets tapped on a live reader before anything ships.

Ships

First batch ships from the US to the waitlist in order. Handles and limited finishes go to the list first.

Where it works

If the terminal has the contactless symbol, the leaf works. That's most of them now.

FAQ

Quick ones.

The questions people ask at the counter, answered before you get there.

Does a card come with it?

No. PotWand is a holder. Slide in your own contactless credit or debit card. Contactless has to be enabled on the card, which it is on almost every card issued in the last few years.

Will tap-to-pay actually work through plastic?

Yes. NFC reads through thin plastic without any trouble. The leaf face over the card antenna is printed at about a millimeter. If a tap ever fails, the fix is seating the card deeper, not tapping harder.

Can I use Apple Pay or Google Pay with it?

No. The wand holds a physical card. Your phone stays in your pocket, which is kind of the point.

Is the card stuck in there forever?

No. Pull the handle off, slide the card out. The slot is a friction fit sized for a CR80 card with a little clearance. Don't force a stuck card. Flex the slot gently and it lets go.

Why is it two parts?

Because one-piece prints force a bad compromise: either the card slot fills with support material or the handle prints weak. Splitting them lets the leaf print flat and the handle print standing. It also means you can swap handles.

Can I mix a pink twist handle with an emerald leaf?

Yes. Every handle uses the same socket. Mix shapes and finishes however you want. Extra handles are their own line item on the reserve form.

Can I wash it? Leave it in the car?

Wipe it. Don't dishwasher it. Don't leave it on a hot dashboard in August. PLA softens in a hot car. Silk PLA looks great and snaps easier than boring PLA, so treat it like a novelty, not a hammer.

When does it ship?

The first batch ships once the Slant 3D sample passes a real card fit and a real reader tap. The waitlist gets the exact date and first-batch pricing by email before anyone else.
